JACARDI is the Joint Action of the European Union that supports European countries in reducing the burden of cardiovascular diseases and diabetes, at both individual and health system levels. 

143 evidence-based pilot projects in 18 EU countries, with supporting evidence of improved cardiovascular diseases and diabetes prevention and management.

Shaping the EU Safe Hearts Plan: JACARDI joins high-level dialogue on regional and local perspectives

A high-level Brussels discussion hosted by the European Committee of the Regions’ Interregional Group on Health and Well-being explored regional and local perspectives on shaping and implementing the EU Safe Hearts Plan, with JACARDI contributing to the debate ahead of the upcoming Committee of the Regions opinion.

Building stronger prevention systems in Ukraine: insights from the Kyiv JACARDI meeting

A national JACARDI meeting in Kyiv brought together Ukrainian public health authorities, WHO, and regional disease control centres to strengthen prevention of cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes. The event highlighted findings from JACARDI pilot studies and outlined next steps for community-based prevention, screening, and health literacy.
