Introducing the Workbox for Inclusion

The seminar will also mark the upcoming launch of the Workbox for Inclusion, a practical training programme developed within JACARDI.

The Workbox is designed to support managers, HR professionals, and organisations in implementing inclusive practices for people living with non communicable diseases and disabilities.

The training provides accessible and practical guidance to help workplaces better understand chronic conditions and take concrete steps towards inclusion, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Spotlight on JACARDI

Katrien Danhieux, together with colleagues from the University of Antwerp and Semmelweis University Budapest, will lead a participatory workshop titled “Draw Your Own Pathway: A Participatory Workshop to Map and Reflect on National Care Trajectories for NCDs”, sharing a methodology to visualise how people with non-communicable diseases navigate care across different national contexts.

Monika Martens, also from the University of Antwerp, will deliver an oral presentation titled “Mapping Implementation Barriers and Facilitators of 29 European Pilot Projects Improving Diabetes and Cardiovascular Care: A Blended CFIR-NASSS Framework Analysis”, drawing on a cross-national analysis to identify what drives or hinders successful implementation of integrated care models for diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Spotlight on JACARDI

Representing Work Package 8 (Screening high risk populations and individuals), Céline Lavalette, together with Victoria Delavaud, Clara Piffaretti and Sandrine Fosse Edorh from Santé publique France, will deliver a poster pitch and poster board presentation titled “Developing a machine learning algorithm to identify undiagnosed type 2 diabetes in France: The JACARDI “Unknown diab” pilot project”.

Their contribution presents the development of a machine learning model using data from the Constances cohort and the French National Health Data System (SNDS) to identify individuals and geographical areas at high risk of undiagnosed type 2 diabetes. By combining population level risk mapping with potential individual outreach, the activity showcases how algorithm driven early detection tools can strengthen screening strategies within JACARDI and support targeted public health action across France.
