The Joint Action on Cardiovascular Diseases and Diabetes is pleased to announce its Third Annual General Assembly, taking place in Madrid, Spain, from October 14–16, 2025. The meeting will gather participants from 21 European countries, including national authorities, EU institutions, WHO, EUPHA, patient representatives, and scientific societies.
This year’s Assembly will open with a welcome from institutional representatives and an inspirational message from the JACARDI Coordination Team, setting the stage for collaborative dialogue. Central to the agenda are JACARDI’s pilot projects, acting as living laboratories to test, scale, and share innovative interventions in cardiovascular and diabetes care. Discussions will explore early results and address key themes such as equity, sustainability, monitoring systems, and continuity of care.
The Assembly also provides a platform to connect the lessons of JACARDI with the forthcoming EU Cardiovascular Health Plan, ensuring that national experiences and technical work package results inform European policy. By fostering exchange and joint reflection, the meeting aims to strengthen motivation, collaboration, and collective capacity to reduce the burden of non-communicable diseases across Europe.
